Amanda Lindberg

Barrister & Solicitor

Amanda is a litigator, mediator and registered collaborative law lawyer. Amanda aspires to be a trusted advisor to her clients. Her goal is to help her clients make informed decisions by guiding them through one of the most challenging, emotionally trying, and confusing periods of their lives. Amanda wants to give her clients the opportunity to have the best relationship they can have with their children and families. Amanda wants to build confident clients. An out-of-court resolution is preferred but when that is not possible, Amanda has years of litigation experience. Amanda believes that each client is important regardless of the nature of their issue. She strives to respond to her clients’ questions promptly and thoroughly.

Prior to joining Bruyer & Mackay LLP, Amanda practiced with general practice law firms, representing individuals and companies in a wide variety of litigation matters including construction, corporate, employment and personal injury matters. She also has experience with estate and real estate litigation.

Amanda returned to the practice of family law in 2016 and has experience in all areas of family law including divorce and common-law separation, guardianship, decision-making and parenting time matters, and child and partner support and division of family property. Amanda is able to advise on all types of agreements including Minutes of Settlement, Cohabitation, and Prenuptial Agreements. Amanda is available for limited scope retainers.

Amanda has experience in all three levels of court and has trial experience in Provincial Court of Alberta and Alberta Court of King’s Bench.

Amanda received her B.Sc. in Biology (1999) and her B.A.in Psychology (2003) from the University of Alberta before attending law school, graduating in 2006. Amanda articled and subsequently practiced in Edmonton and vicinity.

Amanda is very active with the Canadian Bar Association, Alberta Branch. She is the Past President of CBA Alberta and has held many other positions including Co-Chair of the Civil Litigation section, Co-Chair of Edmonton Law Day, Provincial Law Day Chair and Co-Section Coordinator for Alberta North Sections. Amanda has previously been an instructor of bar admission program teaching Professional Ethics, Negotiations, Client Interviewing and litigation focused modules.

Amanda received her King’s Counsel appointment in 2024 in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the legal community.

In her down time, Amanda is an avid camper and loves a good road trip, along with backyard fires, good food, great wine and the company of friends and family.
