Fauza Mohamed is both a skilled negotiator and litigator known for her focus on resolution and strong advocacy both inside and outside the court room. Fauza has appeared in both Provincial Court and the Court of King’s Bench on a wide range of family law issues including spousal support, child support, the division of property, parenting time, custody, and guardianship.
Fauza was born and raised in Edmonton. Prior to commencing her law degree, Fauza graduated from the Master of Social Work program at Carleton University and worked at the Somerset West Community Health Centre in Ottawa in a management role.
Fauza graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta in 2014 and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2015. During law school, Fauza was awarded the prestigious Borden Ladner Gervais Research Fellowship and participated in the Wilson Moot Court competition where her team placed third nationally for its research factum.
Fauza is a member of the executive for the family law section of the Canadian Bar Association. She is also a volunteer coach for the Law Day high school mock trial tournament. Outside of work, Fauza enjoys weight training, reading, travelling, and getting together with family and friends.
