Articling Student
Rebecca is currently completing her articles at Bruyer & Mackay. She chose to pursue law because of the challenge and opportunity for continuous learning. Rebecca is passionate about social justice and making the law approachable for clients.
Rebecca was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. Prior to commencing her law degree, Rebecca graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Regina, and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Alberta. She worked at the University of Alberta as an instructor in Art and Design and exhibited her artwork across Canada.
Rebecca completed her Juris Doctor at the University of Alberta in 2024. During law school, Rebecca notably received the Jean McBean QC Award in Law. She enjoyed opportunities to practice advocacy, competing in a provincial family law moot and a national immigration and citizenship law moot. In her final year of school, she completed a placement course working in family law at Legal Aid Alberta. Rebecca was involved with the Women’s Law Forum and created artwork for the student newspaper, Canons of Construction.
Rebecca is a member of the Canadian Bar Association. Outside of work, she enjoys making art, swimming, and playing darts. She loves watching movies and attending live music and is happiest spending time with family and friends.
